CarePal

Proposed success-fee schedule

Version 2026-10-16-v6

Success fees are not currently available. This page is a proposed schedule only; CarePal will not collect a fee or save a payment card under it.

The short version

Success fees are not available right now. CarePal will not ask you to agree to a success fee, save a payment card, or charge a card under this schedule.

This page describes a proposed future no-win, no-fee schedule. It is not an offer and does not create a payment obligation. We will publish final terms and give notice before any success-fee program starts.

If a future program launches, CarePal will show the estimated savings, fee and net savings in dollars before work that carries a fee. It will require a separate agreement and a Stripe-hosted payment-method setup; a calculation or receipt will never by itself charge a card.

Your subscription covers everyday wins. A fee applies only to the part of a big win above a set amount for its kind, at one percentage for that kind. Once you agree to a fee on a case, that case keeps those terms even if this schedule changes.

Family and Premium

On the Premium plan every rate is 40% of the normal one, rounded down to a whole percent; the free amounts are the same on both plans. The rate is the one for your household's plan when you agree to the fee on a case; changing plans later doesn't change a case you already agreed to.

Money back: 20% on Family, 8% on Premium, above $100.

Lower bill: 25% on Family, 10% on Premium, above $200 of first-year savings.

Cheaper insurance: 15% on Family, 6% on Premium, above $200 of first-year savings.

Cheaper prescription: 10% on Family, 4% on Premium, above $200 of first-year savings.

Property tax appeal: 25% on Family, 10% on Premium, above $300 of first-year savings.

Repair quote: 15% on Family, 6% on Premium, above $100.

Rent: 20% on Family, 8% on Premium, above $500 of first-year savings.

Medical bill: 25% on Family, 10% on Premium, above $500.

Getting money back

Disputed charges, refunded fees, refunds and credits: 20% (8% on Premium) of the money that actually comes back to you, charged once. The first $100 is always yours: the fee is only on the part above it, so smaller wins carry no fee.

Example: you save $300. CarePal's fee is $40, once ($16 on Premium). Your net savings: $260 ($284 on Premium).

Lowering a bill

A lower monthly bill (internet, phone and the like): 25% (10% on Premium) of what you save in the first 12 months, charged once, not every month. The first $200 of first-year savings is always yours: the fee is only on the part above it, so smaller wins carry no fee. The saving counts only after a newer bill or your bank shows the lower price.

Nobody knows the result before the company answers, so before CarePal starts you agree to the rate in words. When the company makes an offer, you see it with the savings and the fee in dollars before you accept it. If you don't accept, there's no fee.

Example: you save $40 a month ($480 in the first year). CarePal's fee is $70, once ($28 on Premium). Your net savings: $410 ($452 on Premium).

Cheaper insurance

A cheaper car, home or renters policy: 15% (6% on Premium) of what you save in the first 12 months, charged once, not every month. The first $200 of first-year savings is always yours: the fee is only on the part above it, so smaller wins carry no fee.

The saving counts only after the new insurer's charge or declarations page shows the lower premium. CarePal never sells insurance and takes no commission from insurers.

Example: you save $50 a month ($600 in the first year). CarePal's fee is $60, once ($24 on Premium). Your net savings: $540 ($576 on Premium).

Cheaper prescriptions

The same prescription filled somewhere cheaper: 10% (4% on Premium) of what you save in the first 12 months, charged once, not every month. The first $200 of first-year savings is always yours: the fee is only on the part above it, so smaller wins carry no fee.

The saving counts only after your bank shows the lower price.

Example: you save $40 a month ($480 in the first year). CarePal's fee is $28, once ($11.20 on Premium). Your net savings: $452 ($468.80 on Premium).

Property tax appeals

A lower property tax bill after an appeal: 25% (10% on Premium) of what you save in the first 12 months, charged once, not every month. The first $300 of first-year savings is always yours: the fee is only on the part above it, so smaller wins carry no fee.

The saving counts only after a new tax bill or the assessor's decision shows the lower amount.

Example: you save $60 a month ($720 in the first year). CarePal's fee is $105, once ($42 on Premium). Your net savings: $615 ($678 on Premium).

Repair quotes

A cheaper car repair or maintenance price than the first quote: 15% (6% on Premium) of the money you save, charged once. The first $100 is always yours: the fee is only on the part above it, so smaller wins carry no fee.

The saving counts only after the final bill or your bank shows the lower price.

Example: you save $300. CarePal's fee is $30, once ($12 on Premium). Your net savings: $270 ($288 on Premium).

Rent

A lower rent at lease renewal: 20% (8% on Premium) of what you save in the first 12 months, charged once, not every month. The first $500 of first-year savings is always yours: the fee is only on the part above it, so smaller wins carry no fee.

The saving counts only after the signed renewal or your rent payment shows the lower rent.

Example: you save $100 a month ($1,200 in the first year). CarePal's fee is $140, once ($56 on Premium). Your net savings: $1,060 ($1,144 on Premium).

Cancelling or changing a subscription

Subscription cancellation and plan changes are free. CarePal does not take a percentage of the subscription savings.

Medical bills

25% (10% on Premium) of how much lower your balance gets, counted only when a newer bill or Explanation of Benefits shows it. The first $500 is always yours: the fee is only on the part above it, so smaller wins carry no fee. Medical bills also need your signed HIPAA authorization, on a separate page.

Example: you save $1,200. CarePal's fee is $175, once ($70 on Premium). Your net savings: $1,025 ($1,130 on Premium).

Always free

Finding things, reading your bills and accounts, alerts, pay links for friends (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App), asking your card company or your broker for a lower interest rate, comparing lenders' published rates, and searching for unclaimed money. No fee, ever, on any of these.

What counts, and what doesn't

Only savings we can prove: money that lands in your account, or a lower price on a newer bill or bank charge. A promise from a company isn't a saving until it shows up.

Fees under $1 are waived. If a company later takes back money it returned, the fee on that money is dropped too.

You can tell CarePal to stop a case at any time before there's a result, and you owe nothing for it.

Closing your account (if success fees launch)

If a future success-fee program launches, a request to close your account starts a 30-day pending-close period. CarePal stops taking new work immediately and closes the account at the end of that period.

In that future program, a success fee can become due during the pending-close period only for savings from a fee-eligible case you already agreed to, and only once those savings are confirmed. Closing your account does not cancel that agreed fee.

In that future program, CarePal never charges a fee for estimated, pending or unverified savings. If the saving is not confirmed by the end of the pending-close period, no fee is charged for it.

These sit alongside our Terms of Service.
